On 23/7/2021 SEMSA FC won the Strathclyde Saturday Morning Amateur Football League (SSMAFL) Presidents Cup beating Port Glasgow Athletic 4-2 at New Tinto Park.. Congratulations to all players, coaches and support staff.

Liam McGeachy put SEMSA ahead in the 15th minute with a smart finish from a good cross and that’s all that split the teams at half time. Patrick Tinney doubled the lead after just 3 mins of the 2nd period and McGeachy secured his second on the hour mark. Port then came back into it. Lee Finlay pulled one back just 3 mins later. Port piled on the pressure bit could not grab a 2nd with the SEMSA keeper pulling off a great save to deny them. Against the run of play, Daniel Queen scored a 4th for SEMSA on 84 mins to clinch it. Stuart Emerson grabbed a consolation second for Athletic in added on time.
Liam McGeachy was voted Man of the Match by the match officials.
