Lord Provost’s Invitation to SEMSA

Pickleball Champion 2025

Thomas Cairns (a SEMSA badminton club member) is a NATIONAL Pickleball Champion!
The Scottish Nationals championships were held at Scotstoun Sports Complex in Glasgow on the 31st of May 2025.

SEMSA Annual Awards makes considerable impact and empowers women at grass roots level


Safe + Strong 2024 Conference

SEMSA Trustee, Rajani Tyagi attended and presented at the Safe + Strong 2024 Conference. Rajani’s presentation covered the very important topic of Women’s Health, Wellbeing & Safety in Sport.


Badminton Scotland Awards 2024

SEMSA representatives attended the Badminton Scotland Awards (November 2024) at the Emirates Arena Glasgow.


Achievement Award 2024

SEMSA International Womens Day event wins the achievement of the month award from ClubSport Glasgow at Decathlon at Braehead on Thursday 18th April.


Club of the Month 2023

SEMSA won “Club of the month” from Sports Council for Glasgow for International Women’s Day activities to address health and well-being of women through removing social exclusion. International Women’s Day was organised by SEMSA, lead by Kamaljeet Minhas and supported by trustees, as well as community volunteers. SEMSA was awarded a voucher for sports equipment.

Services to Sport Award 2017

Congratulations to Mridula Chakraborty MBE (SEMSA Secretary and Trustee) who jointly won, the Sports Council for Glasgow Services to Sport Award 2017.
